Description

The description of the event.

Do you work with children and teens in your library? Are you interested in connecting with your peers across the state to learn more about providing services to the youth in your community? This meet-up is for anyone who is interested in youth services work, and would like to engage more. Held on the last Wednesday of each month from 10 - 11 am, this is an informal meet-up for librarians to gather and discuss various topics regarding youth services. Each meet-up will have a specific topic to start discussion, but anyone is welcome to bring any question/comment to the meet-up.

June's meet-up topic is Summer Reading and General Teen Programming. Please see the agenda below:

  • Intros and Goals of the Meet-Up
  • Summer Reading Update - How are things going for children/teen services?
  • Teen Programming General Discussion
    • What are you currently doing? Who is coming to your programs and how did you find them?
    • What has worked really well in the past?
    • What are you hoping to do in the future?
    • What are you struggling with?
