Description

The description of the event.

The mission of the State Law Library of Montana is to provide legal information and resources, to enhance knowledge of the law and court system, and to facilitate equal access to justice. Individuals who attend this will learn about (1) the services offered by the Law Library, (2) how to understand and categorize a legal issue in relation to the three branches of government, (3) how to comprehend and contextualize the Montana Code Annotated, and (4) what access to justice (presently) looks like for Montana’s citizenry.

Presenter Bio: Since January 2023, Franklin Runge has served as the State Law Librarian, which allows him to work on the legal research needs of Montana’s bench, bar, and citizenry. Prior to joining Montana’s Judicial Branch, Franklin’s professional experiences included academic law libraries and civil litigation.
