Session Description and Objectives

There are options for a good collection even with a minimal budget and space. Jonna Underwood, Sheridan County Library Director, will join us for a great discussion about how paying attention to 3 key concepts can make a big difference in having a great collection and a library that welcomes its patrons.

  1. Quality vs. Quantity
  2. Know your patron base
  3. Get creative

Bring your questions and be ready to share your best examples of collection development in action.  A resource handout and recording will be available after this session.

1 CE Credit - Collection Management and Technical Services

Jonna is in her tenth year as the library director for the Sheridan County Library in Plentywood. A ruthless weeder, she loves collection development and finding that “perfect read” to share with library patrons.   She lives out in the country with her husband and their three dogs.

Let us know how we did! If you joined us for the live session or watch the recording afterward, please fill out this evaluation form.
