Library Leadership Institute (SLLI) is a 9-10 month intensive learning experience targeted to emerging library leaders. The program starts with a 4 day retreat at the Rising Wolf Ranch near East Glacier Park - a rustic camp just south of Glacier National Park, just a mile off US Hwy 2, but secluded and private.  Peer facilitator-mentors present the program, which focuses on getting to know your leadership style, learning how to assert yourself as a leader, with practical experience applying and exploring leadership concepts.

There is NO COST to attend, but all attendees agree to identify and complete a project and to attend all the follow-up meetings and webinars planned as part of this program.

Applications to attend will be available in March.

Applications to be a facilitator - which comes with a stipend and travel reimbursement - are open January 8-February 8.  Contact Jo Flick for more information about becoming a facilitator for this biennial training program.  jflick@mt.gov

There are a limited number of private sleeping rooms, most attendees will be sharing a room with 1-2 other participants.  Be sure to advise Jo in your applilcation if you require a single room.

Plan to bring your favorite beverage - coffee, tea, iced tea, lemonade and water will be provided. A variety of snacks are availalbe at all times.  Meals are prepared and served as a group.  Most meal times are scheduled work time, too.

Turn south off from US Hwy 2 near mile marker 206.  The turn off is near a steel-sided garage that is a light yellow-beige color.  A small sign on the fence post at the trun reades RWR.  Further in on the road, follow the signs to the Rising Wolf Ranch, taking care to leave gates open if they are open and close any stock gates that are closed when you arrive.  The road veers to the right and down to a creek with a narrow steel deck bridge, and then past a barn and through a timber gate - again leave the gate as you find it - open or closed.  The road then enters the woods for another 1/2 mile before arriving at the Ranch.  Signs will direct you to the right to park.  Do not drive onto the lawn.  Register with MSL staff in the old Lodge closest to the river to get your room assignment.
