Description

The description of the event.

In November 2019, Jenny Jo Allen co-founded the Park County Human Trafficking Task Force and is their current Prevention Committee chairperson. Through community awareness events, it has become very clear that Montana rural areas aren't aware of human trafficking happening in their communities. The first step to eliminating modern day slavery is to understand where and how it is happening. Montana libraries have always been one of the best resources for sharing information, and with your help, our libraries can help spread awareness of human trafficking tactics and end expoitation of people.
Jenny Jo will also share information on the Red Sand Project (redsandproject.org [redsandproject.org]) and we can brainstorm the best ways to throw a Red Sand Project event in your community.
Please join us on Friday, December 10th, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. to learn more about this devastating problem and how you and your local library can help.
