Based on a civility (politeness/courteousness) library staff workshop, this train the trainer presentation will provide methods for engaging staff participation in: what civil and uncivil behavior looks/feels like, how incivility impacts individuals, how peer incivility should be addressed, and how staff would like to be treated by one another.

If you are hoping to attend the “Hasta la Vista, Incivility” session on Sunday afternoon, the presenters strongly recommend listening to the “How Rude!” episode from the podcast Hidden Brain. It’s about an hour long and you can listen to it on your drive to Chico! There is also a transcript if you would prefer to read it.
