Do you depend upon parent volunteers to get things done in your library, or, would you like to get more students or parents involved in your school library but need ideas how to get started? The past five years, Manhattan Junior High's librarian has worked with one volunteer "Library Outreach Coordinator" to rally students around books and a reading culture.

Bev Richardson taught 12 years as a 9th grade English and ESL teacher and in her sixth year as a school librarian. A graduate of Fort Hays State University, she earned her School Library Media endorsement through Montana State University and enjoys walking her dog, skiing and hiking.

Rosanne Kruse is a veteran of various school and community volunteer programs from PTO president to concession stand worker and master of organization. She earned her MS from Montana State University and parent of three teenagers.
