Library policies can have a profound impact on the communities they serve, from access to resources to the overall experience of library patrons. As such, it is crucial that these policies be developed with a focus on equity and fairness. In this workshop, participants will learn strategies for creating and evaluating library policies through the lens of the whole community. We will explore best practices for policy development, including stakeholder engagement, data analysis, and decision-making processes that promote fairness and access for all. Participants will leave with practical tools and strategies for developing and assessing library policies that serve the needs of their entire communities.
