PRECONFERENCE SESSION Lona Running Wolf and Wendy Bremner, sisters raised on the Blackfeet Reservation, discuss tribal identity, culture, and policies, while also explaining historical and contemporary Indian policies. Lona Running Wolf has served numerous capacities in education, including as a teacher, instructional coach, instructional leader, and curriculum development. She also held the role of Director of American Indian Student Achievement for the Montana Office of Public Instruction. Wendy Bremner is a Victim Specialist for the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) and has received the U.S. Attorney’s “Working Hard, Making a Difference” Award for “her contribution to public safety in Indian Country.” 1-hour break for lunch
