In a presentation and discussion, we will explore how we might make our libraries more inviting to the world outside our doors by making spaces for the creativity of our patrons. This might include anything from makerspaces to book clubs to murals on library walls. Vic Mortimer is the teacher librarian at Corvallis Middle School. He taught high school and college English before figuring out that middle school libraries are his natural habitat.
