A panel of legal experts will share helpful guidance for managing library board meetings, public participation, collection management, and library services. They will discuss the open meeting law, public participation laws, the first amendment, and discrimination.

Lisa Mecklenberg Jackson is currently a board member at the Missoula Public Library. She is a librarian and lawyer. She was a former State Law Librarian and has held other librarian positions. Many librarians will recognize her as the fun and engaging presence behind the Cates' scholarship committee.
