Ann and Wendy will share how MSU Library strives to empower library ambassadors. They’ll present lessons learned from a year’s worth of experimentation: from updated style guides and review processes, to hands-on workshops and activities. Join us and tell the story of your library.
Ann Vinciguerra is the Events and Communications Manager at Montana State University Library. Prior to starting work at MSU in 2014, she spent 15 years as a development officer for various NGOs in Bozeman and Jackson Hole. Through these experiences Ann gained experience in all aspects of fundraising, event planning, and communications. Since 2022 she has led her MSU Library team to four PR Xchange Awards from the American Library Association. Ann holds a Master of Arts in Communication from University of Wyoming and a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Studies from Southern Connecticut State University.
Wendy Riker Purnell is MSU Library’s Research and Creativity Coordinator, tasked with storytelling and grant management. Dedicated to the freedom of inquiry, Wendy has spent two decades at the intersection of academia, education, and public policy. Prior to MSU, she worked with students and scholars at the Institute for Humane Studies at George Mason University, the Cato Institute, PERC, and the Renewing Indigenous Economies Project at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University. Outside of think tanks and universities, Wendy has served in various communications roles for the U.S. Congress, The Prague Post, J. Walter Thompson, and Paso Pacífico
