George Strawley
The population of those age 65 and over is estimated to climb 22 percent by 2035. That means health information needs of older adults will be important now and in the near future. We will introduce some free federal resources for helping them connect with reliable, readable health information. The session will also discuss demographic trends and programming for older adults.
George Strawley is an associate librarian at the University of Utah who works on funding and training aimed at addressing health disparities through reliable health information. George’s interests include health literacy and public telehealth access through libraries. His work with libraries has focused on the states of Utah, Idaho and Montana. With library experience in both public and academic settings, he is based at the Spencer S. Eccles Health Sciences Library.
