Sarah Cawley and Suzanne McKiernan

Memory Café is an opportunity for socialization and planned activities for folks with early dementia and memory loss, along with their care partners in a safe and welcoming environment. We will discuss how you can start your own Memory Café, sharing ideas of organization, activities, and recruitment.

Sarah Cawley is the Community Engagement Coordinator for the Great Falls Public Library. Working within the community is a large passion of Ms. Cawley’s, and she has enjoyed her 2.5 years of Library work. Sarah is also the chair of the Great Falls Area Community Foundation and the founder of a non-profit consultation firm, Cawley Consulting MT.

Suzanne McKiernan is the Bozeman Public Library Memory Café Coordinator. Suzanne moved to Bozeman recently from Billings, where she was a Dementia Friendly America trainer and in 2022, started the Billings Public Library Memory Café. In January 2025, Suzanne started the Bozeman Memory Café, sponsored by MSU Extension. Suzanne is also on the board of the League of Women Voters of Bozeman Area.
