Description

The description of the event.

Shelley O'Rourke

Foresight practices are often associated with organizations and policy planning. However, these structured approaches can be personal and therapeutic. By using foresight practices, we can reclaim perspective, slow down cognitive overwhelm, and cultivate hope by recognizing that the future is plural, not predetermined.

Shelley O'Rourke is a retired school librarian from Great Falls who sits on the Marketing/PR Committee for MLA and the Communications Committee for the Freedom to Read Foundation. She recently presented at Thrive, a virtual global conference in support of democracy, and is a certified foresight practitioner.
