Taylor Moorman & Hannah McKelvey

Feeling the pressure to keep-up with generative AI? Libraries are dealing with this technology in a convenience culture that equates speed with relevance. This workshop reframes “slow as strategy,” a values-centered practice to design intentional pauses and build sustainable library paths when engaging with genAI.

Taylor Moorman works as an assistant professor and Instructional Technology Librarian at Montana State University. Her special interests lie at the crossroads of technology and engaged instruction, exploring how to enrich learning experiences through human-centered services.
Hannah McKelvey is an Associate Professor and Electronic Resources & Discovery Services Librarian at Montana State University Library. Her role includes managing electronic information licensed by the library through third-parties and facilitating discovery and access to Library resources.
