Rae McFadden and Katherine Altizer

Guerilla Storytime is an audience participation workshop for librarians and others who work with
children 0-5 to share their knowledge with one another. Learn new songs, stories, tips and tricks to
inspire and invigorate your early childhood programming while getting to know peers in this fun, fastpaced,
and supportive space.

Rae McFadden has been the Youth Services Librarian at the Great Falls Public Library for 9 years. She
earned her Master of Library and Information Science from Wayne State University in Detroit. Her
Bilingual Storytime, an ASL and spoken English YouTube program with Conservatory ASL Northwest, won
the Montana Library Association’s Library Program of the Year Award in 2021. Her favorite sound in
the whole wide world is preschoolers howling.

Katherine Altizer is a Youth Services Specialist at the Great Falls Public Library who facilitates a range of
programs including Preschool Storytime, Summer Art and Science, and STEAM Club. She has a Masters
of Library and Information Science from Kent State. Katherine believes in the power of books and stories
to connect kids to their world and inspire joy. She enjoys a warm cup of tea, crafts, and dinosaurs.
