Matt Beckstrom

In this session, attendees will gain a basic understanding of what a privacy audit is, and what it can do for your organization. A few example audits will be presented, as well as some guidelines for performing your own privacy audit.

Matt Beckstrom is the Systems Librarian for the Lewis & Clark Library, a position he has held since 1999. He received his Master’s Degree in Information Science from the University of North Texas in 2012. Matt has been an active member of MLA serving in multiple roles for over 25 years. He is currently a member of the Intellectual Freedom Committee. He is also a member of the ALA Intellectual Freedom Committee, and the author of numerous books on privacy, security, technology, and libraries.
