Rae McFadden

For the past four years, Great Falls Public Library staff have leveraged teens’ love of gaming and our readers advisory skills to create an effective, on-brand Summer Reading tradition for teens: Library Loot Boxes. Learn how to implement this high-demand, literacy-focused program at your library this summer.

Rae McFadden has been the Youth Services Librarian at the Great Falls Public Library for 9 years. She earned her Master in Library Science from Wayne State University in Detroit. Her Bilingual Storytime, an ASL and spoken English YouTube program with Conservatory ASL Northwest won the Montana Library Association’s Library Program of the Year Award in 2021. Her favorite sound in the whole wide world is preschoolers howling.
