| Abstract
|
These data are color digital aerial photos, taken in the year 2013. They consist of 56 images that each cover a Montana county. They are orthorectified natural-color MrSID images with a ground resolution of 1 meter, and they are registered to the UTM coordinate system.The data are also available as a downloadable collection of 698 compressed natural-color MrSID images, each 24 kilometers square. These images are in Montana State Plane coordinates, units meters. The web page for accessing these images is http://geoinfo.msl.mt.gov/data/Aerial_Photos/NAIP_2013.The data are also available through a web service at https://gisservicemt.gov/arcgis/rest/services/MSDI_Framework/NAIP_2013/ImageServer.The data are derived from a collection of 11,776 4-band (near infrared, red, green and blue) TIFF images in UTM coordinates. Each image is about 170 megabytes. The tiling format of the TIFF imagery is based on 3.75 x 3.75 minute quarter-quadrangles with a 300 pixel buffer on all four sides. These images were derived from a USDA interim product. Users should be aware that the interim compressed mosaic may contain defects and have horizontal accuracy less than the specified tolerances.
