The source imagery spans the 1940s to the 1970s, with most imagery drawn from the 1940s and 1950s. The grayscale imagery is delivered as single-band cloud-optimized GeoTIFFs (COGs). Each COG tile is bundled with metadata and can be downloaded as a zip archive. The orthoimagery product is divided into 174 seamless tiles. Each tile is roughly 3.5 GB to 4.5 GB in size. Tiles are named using a row and column number. To find a tile corresponding to a specific location, consult the TILE_INDEX.pdf file in this archive or use tile_index.shp in a GIS. Each image tile is bundled with a shapefile that shows the source imagery seamlines, project name, image acquisition date, and entity id. Use the entity id or project name to search for the source imagery and additional metadata at the USGS archive (https://earthexplorer.usgs.gov/).
