Watershed Subbasin Maps

This web page provides access to five pre-built map series for each of Montana’s subbasins (8-digit HUC level). Precipitation, ownership, slope, land cover, and hydrography maps are provided in Adobe PDF format. Select a Map Type and Subbasin, then click Submit.

PLEASE NOTE: These maps are dated 2003 and more recent GIS data are likely available (e.g. a more recent land cover dataset and 30-year average precipitation). The Library is in the process of updating the maps. To provide comments and suggestions for the new watershed maps email geoinfo@mt.gov.
