Abstract These data were formerly available from the Montana State Library web site but were removed because they are potentially out of date. Please contact the Federal Superfund Bureau of the Montana Department of Environmental Quality if you want these data so they may tell you if newer or better data are available. If the data are not available from the Department of Environmental Quality, you may request a copy from the Montana State Library data archive. These layers are a graphic chart rather than a map. They show a profile of the Berkeley pit with lines showing water levels projected by Canonie Environmental of Bozeman, and annotation describing the levels. The water level projections were made in September 1991.The Polygons layer may be used to color the graph - the polygon with whose "epa9217b_id" is 112 represents the ground, while those with values of 61 through 62 represent water level projections for the dates April 2016 (elevation 5460 feet), May 2012 (5410 feet), April 2000 (5215 feet), December 1996 (5150 feet), December 1993 (5070 feet), and August 1991 (5000 feet). The Lines layer may be used to draw the land profile and water levels. The lines whose "epa9217b_id" are 112 represents the ground profile. Those with values of 77 are the water levels outside of the pit, values of 8 are for water levels inside the pit, and values of 1 show the graph boundary. The Labels layer contains 6 annotation levels. Level 1 has elevations, level 2 has dates, 3 has index numbers, 4 is the label for the Pit rim, 5 describes the significance of the levels, and 6 is the source statement. For proper sizing of the annotation, the map units should be set to inches. The geodatabase contains a line layer in Montana State Plane coordinates, units meters, that shows the line along which the profile was taken.
