Abstract Color orthophotographs of the City of Helena, photogrammetrically compiled from aerial photography flown in April 20, 2006.
Purpose Digital Orthophotographs serve a variety of purposes, from interim maps to field references for earth science investigations and analysis. The orthophotograph is useful as a layer of a geographic information system and as a tool for revising digital line graphs and topographic maps. City of Helena intends to utilize the orthophotographs to support their current planning and future development needs.
Supplemental Information The project encompasses approximately 44 squares miles of the urban area in and around the City of Helena. The scale of the aerial photography negative was 1"=660' exposed at a flight height of 3,500 feet above mean ground level. The resolution for this orthophotograph is 0.0150 meter, or approximately 6 inches.
