These data are site boundary and site assessment information for 113 wetland sites in the Flathead and Upper Yellowstone basins of Montana. The data appear to be a subset of the Montana Natural Heritage Program's Conservation Sites database.

The database was created for the Environmental Protection Agency by the Montana Natural Heritage Program (NHP) and the Montana Department of Environmental Quality. The data were referred to internally as "Ecologically Significant Sites" and "NHP High Priority Wetlands," but the reasons for the selection of these sites for this database is unclear. The data were served to the public between 2001 and 2012 with the Montana State Library's on-line Digital Atlas application.
