This record is the discovery record for six databases that the State Library provided public web access to for the Remediation Division of the Montana Deparment of Environmental Quality (DEQ) between 2005 and 2011. Users are strongly encouraged to request the data from the DEQ rather than accessing these old databases.These data were available on the Montana State Library web site from 2005 through 2011 and were updated on a weekly basis. The archive contains copies of the data set that were updated in 2005, 2006, and 2011.The six databases are:
Petroleum Tank Release Compensation Sites
State Regulated Underground Storage Tank Facilities
Leaking Underground Storage Tanks
Non-Facility Storage Tank Leaks
Abandoned Mines Inventory
Remediation Response SitesThe Remediation Response Site types are from Federal and state CERCLA (Comprehensive Environmental Cleanup and Responsibility Act), CECRA (Comprehensive Environmental Cleanup and Responsibility Act), WQA (Montana Water Quality Act), ACGP (Agricultural Chemical Groundwater Protection Act), VCRA (Voluntary Cleanup and Redevelopment Act), Brownfields, and CALA (Controlled Allocation of Liability Act) programs.
