Abstract	This data was generated through the course of the Montana Land Information Act (MILA) grant “MILA_2023_02 Butte-Silver Bow Road Ownership Attribution Project – Phase 2”. This data was derived from City and County of Butte – Silver Bow Commissioner minutes from 1881-1977. The hard copy records were scanned and transcribed by Butte-Silver Bow staff and then mapped using historic and modern aerial imagery, georeferenced historic maps, USGS topo basemaps from ESRI, and current road centerlines as a reference. The geospatial data has been joined via relate a M:N relate to give users the ability to select layers that are in an area of interest.For data contact Butte-Silver Bow GIS bsbgis@bsb.mt.gov.
Purpose	The purpose of this data is to enable the City and County of Butte-Silver Bow to determine if they have prescriptive use/ ownership to the roads that run within its boundaries. This dataset contains the original and consolidated data which was created from Original Record Lines developed by the Butte-Silver Bow. This dataset does have a variety of inaccuracies that are due to the use of multiple reference materials.
