MSDI Framework Structures and Addresses
Abstract The Montana Structures/Addresses Framework is a statewide spatial database of structure and address points in the State of Montana. The Montana Structures/Addresses Framework is part of the Montana Spatial Data Infrastructure (MSDI). The goal of the Montana Structures/Addresses Framework is to have a routinely updated statewide database of addresses and selected theme-specific structure point data (e.g., schools, airports, fire stations, etc.). Through a federated approach, the project integrates structure and address point data from local, tribal, state, federal and private data providers into a standardized database. For more information about the included datasets, see the metadata table in the database.
Purpose To provide a statewide, standardized repository for structure and address point data. The Structures/Addresses Framework complies with the NENA Standard for NG9-1-1 GIS Data Model and is designed to support a wide range of public and private sector uses including: 9-1-1 and emergency response, elections management, broadband internet mapping, census programs, planning, natural resource studies, etc.
