Abstract These data show the location of water project grants administered by the Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation (DNRC) between 1985 and 2001. The grants were given, mostly to municipalities and government agencies, to upgrade public water supply, wastewater, or irrigation facilities or to fund studies of problems with such facilities.Some of the records have extensive descriptions. These are provided in text files in the accompanying "abstracts" folder that are named afer the value in the IDNO field of the attribute table.The DNRC provided the data to the State Library in 2001 to allow the display of water project locations and information in the Digital Atlas application.
