| Abstract
|
Abandoned mines from the Montana Dept. of Environmental Quality (DEQ), Mine Waste Cleaup Bureau, Abandoned Mines Section database. Coordinates are map-interpolated Latitude/Longitude coordinates or are derived from quarter/quarter/quarter section descriptions. Coordinate accuracy should not be assumed to be greater than one-half mile without independent verification.These data were available on the Montana State Library web site from 2005 through 2011 and were updated on a weekly basis. The archive contains copies of the data that were created in 2005, 2006, and 2011.

This is an archive copy of the abandoned mines data. Current data are available from the web site of the DEQ Remediation Division.
