MSDI Framework Administrative Boundaries
Abstract Election Districts are mapped from various geographies including the U.S. Census Bureau and the Montana Spatial Data Infrastructure (MSDI) including CadNSDI. They have been projected to Montana State Plane NAD83(2011) meters [wkid: 6514].
Purpose Precinct splits are created from all of the districts within a county that hold an election. The are created, named, and maintained by the county election administrator. View the individual layer's metadata for additional information about each election district. View the attribute table to find the source of the election district boundary and the last update date. The list of election districts is provided by the Montana Secretary of State's Office (SOS) from the Election Management System. Election Districts include: Congressional Districts, Voting Precincts, Ambulance / EMS, Cemetery, Community Council, County Commissioner, Drainage, Fire, Hospital, Legislative Districts: House and Senate, Irrigation, Judicial, Jury, Library, Mosquito, Park, Public Service Commission, Resort, Rural, Rural Improvement, School, School Single Member Trustee, Sewer, Soil Conservation, Study Commission, Special, Urban Transportation, Wards, and Water Districts.
